HAPPY BIRTHDAY! BENJAMIN EDWIN HULL!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I dont know if anybody reads this thing. But this post is definately worth reading.
When I first started going to CFA, I knew Ben a little, just from art class. Yeah for some reason i was in the wrong art class, and yet ended getting the award for that class. But Anyways, I knew Ben just a wee bit. Never really engaged in deep conversation. " wow not much has changed " However, He was really good at photography, I knew that. two years later, he just became the annoying kid in chior that pulled my really short hair. ahem. Then, after Gondoliers, There was an opportunity to go to Nepal. Wow, I ran home lickidy split, to tell my mom that I was going on that trip. A few weeks later, I foind out that I would be going for sure. It was God. I also found out, that Ben was going. As my sweat glands started doing their work, I slowly became fond of the idea of getting to know Ben better. Sure enough a couple of months later, we were like two peas in a pod... trying to get out. Yet we stayed calm with one another, and started on a great adventure around the world, that brought us together as really close friends. Nepal was our common denominator for sanity. As we understood the call to reach the hearts of lost people, we became part of the best missions trip team ever, and took back land for Jesus Christ. It really was amazing. No team meetings, barely any contact. I knew like nobody except my Dad. And yet we were gellin like a fellon. Want some Melon? It was amazing. We were all so different, and yet. God designed our team perfectly. His hand blessed us each step. Our team was like tight dude. There was barely any sickness. No terrorism activity. Even though they wanted to kill me. And our team with our differences, became like one tight family. i was like whoa dude. Well, Ben and I obviously did everything together. From bugging my dad at 2 am, by throwing socks at him. To jumping off building with umbrellas. Dude, those were both my ideas, just Ben was victomized. But I did his ideas too. Like swimming. Ok. I am known as two things in Nepal. Make that three. I am famous American. Drowning whiteman. And ahh marajuana target. Yeah. All of which made my teammates laugh. Grrrr.
anyways ben and I formed a bond. like goldbond footswabs, but better.
now we engage in wrestling matches, and other stuff. As i get to know Ben better, I see a heart that is thirsty to be thirsty. And a boy that thinks hes a man. Taking up his cross one step at a time.
Hes one of my best friends, and i am proud and also recovering to be, and being his friend. So ahh, so much to write. But lets get real. We know Ben as Just Ben.
I love you Ben.
